difficult decisions needs must be made
important portents foreshadow unseen
moments with no return carriage, each fate
portends the final stretch forward, this dream
orbits in circles elliptic, lives fade
remember every memory, let go
tantrums from childhood, forgive and forget
ants from above, such perspective, go slow
never needs must happen never, regret
to wind up the grandfather clock, her scream
