Murderers and rapists they now pardon
anguish and anxiety feed the poor
kiss my ass goodbye in El Salvador
everyone knows, freedom is never free

Articles they breach, so who sets the score
monsters of myth, systems we never see
everyone knows, never stare at the sun
religion without faith, superstition
in a nutshell, in government we trust
college electoral takes in my vote
accounts for my mere lack of ambition

Guarantees guidance for all my children
religion, state-sponsored, Meg says, lick rust
eat glass, kick rocks, Samuel Johnson, a mote
answers Berkeley, succinct and to the point
travel the Atlantic by ship, back when

Aeroplanes and aircraft were just ideas
