The Revolving Door ~ Wednesday, September 3, 2025
Wisdom always learns lessons the hard way
happiness ephemeral as a dream
anxiety from memories passes
time lasts a moment, never long to stay
I revolve, a storm-door, I create flow
knowledge burdens responsibility
nothing but action walks across a beam
obligations to others, the masses
windows to experience fly open
obscene, without originality
remarkably not so remarkable
heaven and hell between pendulum swings
angels and demons dance on a cable
visions of naked queens in sable stings
electric from anus to brain, women
castrate every reject, circumcised toys
over and over, round and round, I spin
metaphysical conceits for John Donne
elegant women offer joy to boys
transparent in ethics, into men grow
obscene children, as they begin to show
understanding, the game is afoot, John
nothing gets by the detective, begin
demonstrating wisdom, never much fun
elegant women in sable show wit
resort to satire swiftly or be gone
sift through memories, never to return
take a moment to breathe, the grains of sand
anxiously fall, the hourglass must learn
nothing remains of joy, unless, at hand
descend, I fall into a vipers' pit
happiness ephemeral as a dream
anxiety from memories passes
time lasts a moment, never long to stay
I revolve, a storm-door, I create flow

nothing but action walks across a beam
