The Eternal Wisdom of God is Mine ~ Monday, October 6, 2025
Sirach 1:2
The sand of the seashore, the drops of rain
how the lightning falls in a thunderstorm
each time, beautiful, brilliant, and different
save a memory from childhood and groan
at events never to happen again
never is not time, the air cold and warm
decisions made like a sacrifice bunt
on the diamond of a green baseball field
forever is a moment, here and gone
these grains of sand, hot underfoot, to walk
heavily on the beach in the summer
each barefoot step burns a saucer of milk
simmering on the stove, light grows dimmer
each day after the summer solstice, fold
angles accurately, sheets of paper
succeed to make a paper plane, fly high
honor childhood stories to reach the sun
on the shoreline, running, a sand piper
remember the wisdom of the Lord fails
each time lightning strikes a person, to laugh
terribly at such misery, the pan
holds milk heated for hot chocolate, to burn
every toe on the bottom of the soles
distant memories awaken, to read
religious works between the lines, the word
of God is a book of fiction, to trod
paper thin, onion skin, typeset the bard
summer falls eternal on my face, scorn
opens the dialogue to ridicule
fall as drops of summertime, of warm rain
random memories reflect light from light
as indoctrination teaches each pawn
instructions as guidance, battles hard-fought
nothing but lies, narrative tales, uncool
