Ars longa, vita brevis

Art, as Kos says, is long, and life is short
remember, swear an oath to do no harm
swear on the grave of your mother, brother

liquid sunshine dazzles an aorta
obviously, the visual cortex
nothing but the devil in the machine
give it some thought, this is about a death
as long as you see the fire alarm

view it as if you would see the other
in the afterlife, after their last breath
take a moment to breathe, see the Codex
as if God and the Devil were obscene

believe nothing but lies they teach in school
remember, the hidden, the truth they hide
externally, we see what is given
view the coffin, the corpse inside, so cool
indeed, to touch, to kiss goodbye, my bride
such is life, such is fate, unforgiven
