Write as if your clogged arteries could sing
right the wrongs of English orthography
insane philosophers mention a death
technically, the author, a ship once sunk
emerges after centuries, no ghosts

a spectre is haunting Europe, groovy

novelists of the seventies drink broth
only the bones of grass-fed cows, spectral
visible light, beyond this, a chasm
empty as another big mouth to feed
leftovers gorge on prismatic light

instantaneous perceptions, to root
nussle muzzle truffle diggers hard fought

neat single cask whiskey begs for a dram
objectified exploitation writes wrongs

shorn, tonsured medieval priests rest on racks
havens for poverty, beyond, ships sail
attired pelts of Bengal tiger skins
visions start from the sixteenth-century
embark voyagers as your journey lags

Nobel invents dynamite, mines Zaire
ovum turns up the stereo volume
vengeance, enemy of my enemy
embers smoke roasted pork, wood stove fire
members lonely for pearls, dive before swine
berated since childhood, writes without guile
errors as erroneous as seafoam
remember, write about lightning and rain
